These are a selection of the many photos taken over the winter season 2003/2004.
 
Last winter wasn't that great for the harder ice and mixed routes as the temperatures fluctuated too much. One day there would be heaps of snow then the next day would be warm with the snow rapidly disappearing. Stonefall was a problem on many routes as the ground was so dry after the hot summer, lacked it's usual soggyness and therefore didn't freeze up as normal.
 
However, it was a great time for winter walking and the easier gullies provided entertainment right through until May!
